Dr. Andrew Winthrop
DC, CCSP, CCEP, LMP

Licensed Doctor of Chiropractic 
Owner & Head Doctor

Dr. Andrew Winthrop grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA and studied Human Physiology at San Francisco State University, before beginning the Chiropractic Graduate Program at Palmer West in San Jose.

 

After graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2017, he completed multiple other certifications to expand his treatment knowledge, such as Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Certified Chiropractic Extremities Practitioner, and Licensed Massage Practitioner. Numerous other small certifications like Kinesiology Taping and Functional Movement Screening, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization also factor into his broad scope of treatment options to curate the best treatment options for his patients. 

Chiropractic care has helped Dr. Winthrop achieve peak performance in varsity sports of water polo and swimming in high school, and recover from various injuries including whiplash from a traumatic car accident, fractured bones from snowboarding, and numerous strains and sprains from different sporting events. These experiences solidified Dr. Winthrop's calling to become a chiropractor. 

Dr. Amanda Leon
Licensed Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Amanda Leon was born and raised in Southern California and received her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Studies from Cal State Fullerton. She then worked in a physical therapy setting as an exercise specialist which gave her a strong foundation in rehabilitative exercise.

 

In 2020, she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. Following graduate studies, she has completed additional certifications to help provide the best care for patients. Dr. Leon is certified in Active Release Technique, which is considered the gold standard for soft tissue injuries; as well as Selective Functional Movement Assessment, a diagnostic tool that leads to the cause of pain not just the source.

 

With her own bouts of injuries, Dr. Leon has experienced first hand the effectiveness of chiropractic care and its benefits for overall health from an early age. Dr. Amanda Leon is passionate about helping others feel their best and educate them along the way to prevent further injury.

Ashley Sink
MS, ATC, CES

Certified Athletic Trainer

Ashley Sink has been in the health and wellness industry for 7 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge in 2015 and recently graduated with her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from the University of La Verne in May of 2021.

She holds additional certifications in Personal Training, Corrective Exercise, Tooling/Scrapping, and Cupping. 

 

She has experience working with athletes from all sports backgrounds. Her training experience ranges from elite athlete to post-surgical population. This has allowed her to apply her vast knowledge to aid in helping those with no fitness background to succeed in their rehabilitation process.

Kasumi Giordano
MS, ATC

Certified Athletic Trainer

Kasumi Giordano was born and raised in Kyoto Japan. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Ritsumeikan University, Japan and she was a competitive track athlete for 12 years, becoming a finalist in the Japan National 400 meter hurdle event in 2009. She earned her Masters of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Findlay, Ohio in 2016.

 

She has experience working as an athletic trainer at various levels, from high school athletes all the way to professional athletes as well as with individuals who have no fitness background. Due to her experience as a high level competitor, she has mastered a variety of approaches to exercise in order to effectively condition the body.

 

What Kasumi likes most about Athletic Training is analyzing the body structure and movement. Then plan fun and effective exercises that will help people stay healthy for a lifetime.
